Defense problem? I guess rebounding is also part of defense. They had allowed too many offensive rebounds by their opponents! If Oden can't play, then they have to remind their players to put more effort into rebounding.
There is one interesting phenomenon about Heat games: Heat usually had slow starts in rebounding (especially offensive rebounds) and more rebounds happened later in the games. It was as if the players had to be remined/pushed by the coach to grab more rebounds, so they improved later in the games. Battier is poor in rebounding (for a forward), and Bosh/James are reluctant to play near the hoop if possible (that means if Heat is leading in scores). Frankly, if they play the Pacers in a 7 games series right now, I don't think they will win. ...
